{"id":319,"date":"2014-05-01T21:48:02","date_gmt":"2014-05-01T20:48:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.xinaesthetic.net\/?p=319"},"modified":"2014-07-01T22:31:03","modified_gmt":"2014-07-01T21:31:03","slug":"mutator-12-imal-brussels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/xinaesthwp.loc\/2014\/05\/mutator-12-imal-brussels\/","title":{"rendered":"Mutator 1+2 @ iMAL Brussels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"William Latham, evolutionary computer art\" href=\"http:\/\/latham-mutator.com\" target=\"_blank\">William Latham<\/a> exhibition at iMAL Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>As well as work dating from his time at IBM (with my Dad and others, as people who know me will know), this exhibition including a large interactive installation similar to that shown recently at the Phoenix in Brighton, here further developed to allow a richer element of interactivity for gallery attendees.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RZg1NWvZw1I\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>I was responsible for programming the sound, which in this instance is evolved along with the visuals according to the user&#8217;s aesthetic selection. I also did some work on aspects of the graphics rendering as well as being involved with conceptualisation, design and implementation of other aspects of the system and was responsible for setting up the four machines running interactive exhibits in the gallery.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a lively collaborative process, and a great experience for me to be involved in putting on a show like this.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.xinaesthetic.net\/aamain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMGP3583.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>William Latham exhibition at iMAL Brussels.
