In the process of preparing material for an upcoming gig producing visuals for This is the Kit at the Barbican. I’ve been working on some video-processing software, and also playing around with various combinations of projector, laser pointer, water and glass objects to amass some abstract visual material to feed into it. I tend to typecast myself as software-oriented, and it’s always enjoyable getting back to embracing the physical nature of light. I first used the crystal bowl featured here in darkroom experiments as a teenager, and there’s also a large terrarium jar that was a gift from a friend.

Maybe I’ll update this post with a few more of these samples later.
